\n My pictorial worlds are fundamentally urban, exploring interactions between people and between individuals and their everyday environments.\nFrom these encounters emerges a natural reflection\u2014an instinctive search that I attempt to express on canvas and share with those who experience my work. I believe that every artistic reflection is also an open invitation, one that is ultimately shaped by the viewer. This dialogue is deeply stimulating for me as an artist.\n <\/p>\n \n

\n I enjoy portraying the world in fragments because I feel that this way of seeing brings me closer to understanding its complexity.\nI take pleasure in discovering characters that I invent or that emerge unexpectedly on the canvas, and in observing how viewers discover them as well, imagining stories about them and even creating their own biographies for these figures.\n <\/p>\n \n

\n When I begin a painting, I do not always know which path it will take. I usually begin with an idea, but the interventions I make on the canvas suggest unexpected possibilities: characters, emotions, and a particular atmosphere or mood. There is a kind of language within the color palette, the marks, and the textures; any of these elements may become decisive\u2014or may not. Decisions must then be made, and the work gradually constructs or deconstructs itself.\nThis is an emotional and intellectual process that I deeply enjoy. I believe the artist\u2019s process is less about finding answers than about continuing to search. It also requires the ability to detach from what has already been created when the work no longer feels convincing. As Vicente Huidobro expressed so brilliantly, \u201cThe adjective, when it does not give life, kills.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n

\n Finally, naming my works is something I always do. I believe a title is important because it reveals many aspects of the work and, above all, because it becomes a \u201cbridge\u201d that invites the viewer to enter into it. Naming is an essentially human act, and the artist should never abandon it.\n <\/p>\n \n <\/div>\n\n\n \n
